Title
Quantum simulation of graphene
Abstract

Quantum computers represent an emergent technology with exciting applications. Among these, the possibility to faithfully reproduce quantum phenomena brings special interest. Indeed, quantum computers offer a natural framework for simulating quantum systems, while trying to do so using classical computers becomes extremely inefficient. Quantum simulation has shown to be a powerful tool for simulating small molecules. However, current quantum computers still present size and noise limitations preventing the simulation of more interesting systems. In this work we aim to simulate graphene, a 2-D material that, in recent decades has attracted great interest due to its unique properties.
